A sofa or a table is judged not only by its line, but by what happens once the piece is in use: how a leather patinas, how a fabric holds up to daily life, how a marble keeps its veining without dulling. FORMA selects its materials based on this real-world use, then entrusts them to specialized workshops — leather cutting, upholstery, joinery, marble work — before final assembly.

From Workshop to Piece

Leather cutting, upholstery, hand-braiding: a glimpse into the gestures that shape every FORMA piece.

Leather Leather

Leather

Leathers are selected hide by hide, taking into account grain, thickness and surface consistency. Seating pieces receive particular attention, as they bear the most daily wear.

Depending on the collection, leather is offered full-grain or in softer finishes, with a shade chart to match the tone to the rest of the project.

FORMA bouclé textile detail

Textile Textile

Textile

Bouclé, velvet, linen or mélange fabrics: textiles are inspected before cutting to catch any weaving flaw or pattern misalignment. Bouclé and velvet dominate our most recent collections for their touch and their way of catching light without shining.

Covers and upholstery are assembled piece by piece, with stitching checked before final assembly.

Marble

Marble tops are chosen for their veining and overall tone rather than for an isolated pattern, to keep visual consistency across the whole surface. Each block is polished and inspected before being paired with its frame — metal or wood, depending on the configuration.
